Structural steel grillage construction for jacket
In the offshore oil and gas industry, the jacket platform is used as a support structure to support drilling and production platforms. For Heerema Fabrication, Europe Steel Projects supplied the structural steel plates for a 1,840-tonne grillage construction. The grillage structure was custom-made according to the jacket’s specific dimensions and weights, so that the structure perfectly matches the end customer’s unique requirements in terms of support, stability and safety.
Flexibility and quality
In this project, Europe Steel Projects showed that speed and quality can go hand in hand. For the customer, a fast delivery time was crucial for the project, combined with optimising plate dimensions for fabrication. Together with one of our key suppliers of quarto plates, we found an opportunity for a fast production of the required plates. Thanks to our good relationship with the plate mill, we were able to guarantee that we could have the required plates rolled quickly according to specifications.
